This practical webinar, led by Hempsons legal specialist Helen Claridge, supports social care providers to strengthen their understanding of the Court of Protection and manage complex legal and safeguarding situations with confidence.

The session explores when providers may become involved in Court of Protection proceedings, the risks of getting it wrong, current pressures within the DoLS system, and recent case law. Practical guidance will also be shared to support lawful, person-centred decision-making around capacity, best interests and restrictions on liberty.

Supporting People with Learning Disabilities and Staff Teams During Loss and Bereavement

This interactive online workshop will teach attendees how to support a person with a learning disability who has/is experiencing loss and bereavement, and how to support staff teams when a person they support has died.

  • Stages of grief and grieving in different ways
