The National Activity Providers Association (NAPA) has launched NAPA Learning Space, a new online hub for learning and professional development.
You can now access over 150 flexible, interactive, sector-specific courses designed for activity providers, care teams, and organisations. The courses are CPD-accredited and priced individually, allowing you to choose what suits your needs.
This week’s focus is on partnership working. Collaboration across health, social care, and local government continues to shape how support is delivered, demonstrating how stronger connections across our sector can help us meet challenges, share learning, and improve outcomes for the people we support.
In this issue, we highlight networking and learning opportunities for care managers to strengthen effective partnerships, alongside key guidance to support further understanding.
Our focus here is on working with colleagues in health and care. In a future edition, we will look more closely at co-production and working alongside people with lived experience.
These free one-hour virtual workshops are designed to help health and care professionals across the South East strengthen their skills, reflect on their career, and take their next steps with confidence.
Running from October 2025 to March 2026, each session will be delivered via Microsoft Teams and offers practical tools, reflection time, and takeaways to help you put ideas into action. You can join as many sessions as you’d like, as each one stands alone with focused, practical content.

As always, What’s New in Adult Social Care brings together training, events, and resources for care teams and managers across Sussex. This week’s edition features a varied mix of local and regional learning opportunities, offering valuable professional development and insights.
St Wilfrid’s Hospice Education Team is launching a new, discussion-based workshop exploring the unique experiences and needs of LGBTQ+ people, including trans and gender-diverse individuals, when approaching the end of life. The course is open to all health and social care professionals.
Drawing on Hospice UK’s I Just Want to Be Me report (2023), the Learning Framework for LGBTQ+ Care in Later Life (2023), and other evidence-based guidance, this workshop will help you:
Understand the barriers faced by LGBTQ+ communities at the end of life
Explore practical ways to provide inclusive, affirming, and compassionate care
Strengthen person-centred practice across health and social care settings
Cost:
Fully funded for all Sussex employees in health and social care (via NHS Sussex)
£50 for participants outside Sussex (includes all course materials)
