University of Chichester: NIHR INSIGHT Programme for South East 

You can choose to apply for the fully funded NIHR INSIGHT Programme with the University of Chichester. The start date for the programme will be September 2024 (TBC). Applications close mid August.

Applications open for fully funded Research Masters

The South Coast INSIGHT Programme (SCIP), funded by NIHR, is a an opportunity for early career health and social care professionals to undertake fully funded Masters in Research, inclusive of UKRI stipend. Eligible applicants will be early career nurses, midwives, allied health professionals, social workers and public health professionals.

There are 30 places available for a 2024/25 start within the South Central region, to be hosted by the University of Southampton, Oxford Brookes University, University of Winchester, University of Portsmouth and Southampton Solent University.

The UK population is ageing, with over 50% of UK adults expected to be 50 and over by 2035 (Office for Health Improvement & Disparities, 2022). As a manager in health and social care you will be keenly aware of the challenges that ageing presents. However, focusing on the more positive aspects of ageing rather than its limitations can help us cultivate an enriching environment where older adults are valued, respected and encouraged to flourish.

Skills for Care’s new ‘Induction Toolkit’!

Skills for Care recently released their new induction toolkit to ensure a positive and welcoming start for new workers. The toolkit guides you through various stages of the induction process with practical advice, checklists and resources to support each stage. The resource also provides advice on inclusion, diversity, and cultural awareness as well as inducting disabled workers.
