MILE pathway newsletter – 29th April 2024

MILE pathway newsletter – 2nd April 2024

There have been many developments since MILE last covered recruitment in our June 2023 newsletter. For example, at the start of the year the government released information on the new care workforce pathway developed in partnership with Skills for Care to clearly define the key knowledge, skills, values and behaviours needed for a career in social care.

We thought it was time to share more resources to help you navigate the complexities and challenges of attracting and retaining talent in the dynamic field of health and social care. This newsletter shares some of the latest insights, trends, and best practices to help your service thrive. New international recruitment toolkit for social care

International recruitment has been a key discussion in the sector over the last few months, and this March a new guide was released by Skills for Care in partnership with the Department of Health and Social Care to support good practice.

Upcoming training with the Sussex Digital In-Reach Team

With the digitalisation of systems and the increasing use of social media content in areas such as recruitment, digital skills are becoming more important to social care managers every day. Digital inclusion and the associated tools can be used to streamline processes, reduce admin time, and ultimately improve the quality of care provided and to be digitally aware is now a required skill by everyone working in the sector.
