Registered managers are valuable leaders in health and care. But strong leadership doesn’t just happen. Managers develop the knowledge, skills and confidence to be a leader in health and care through their experiences and the ability to reflect and adapt as they grow in the role. To support this process they need the right support and access to meaningful continuing professional development opportunities.
The Leadership Development Pathway is a repository of learning opportunities for registered managers working in social care. A registered manager can use the pathway to assess their own leadership capabilities while identifying their areas for development and growth. The Leadership Pathway was inspired by the content of both the Leadership Framework developed by the NHS and the subsequent development of the Leadership Qualities Framework from Skills for Care.
