This webinar, hosted by Skills for Care in partnership with the Outstanding Society, offers practical guidance to help care providers strengthen their approach to medicines optimisation and embed good practice into everyday routines.
Attendees will hear from homecare and residential providers, as well as sector specialists, who will share examples of outstanding practice and tools to build staff confidence and competence. The session also explores how to meaningfully involve people in decisions about their medicines to support person-centred care.

Drawing on the Thriving in Residential Care research from My Home Life England, this two-hour online workshop explores how insights from the UK’s largest qualitative study of older people living in care homes can be applied to enhance quality of life and strengthen evidence-based practice. Participants will reflect on six key ‘Thriving’ themes and gain practical ideas to implement within their own services.

The free session will explore how the research can support care teams, improve service quality, and influence CQC ratings. Sarah Rajendram, Commissioning Manager at Surrey County Council, will also share how Surrey is using the findings to shape future care home provision.
