Care Home Assistant Practitioner Training (CHAPs)

Our seven-week Care Home Assistant Practitioner course will give individuals the knowledge, skills, and confidence to carry out a variety of clinical and management tasks in a care home setting.

This consists of six virtual sessions and one Face to Face practical day at our head office: Care Business Associate Training, Rufford House, 52 Bath Street, Southport, PR9 0DH.

If you can not attend the practical day at this venue, you can have a trainer attend your chosen venue for an additional cost.

The main areas of learning that the course covers are:

• Clinical observations
• Tissue viability, dressings, wounds, and pressure relief
• Venepuncture and blood sugar monitoring
• Administration of medication and syringe driver
• Catheter and stoma care
• Dysphagia
• Diabetes management
