Disclosure and barring service webinars for East Sussex Adult Social Care staff

The Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) regional outreach team is running a series of five webinars for the adult social care sector.

They will cover a range of topics, including enhanced checks, local police processes, Adult First Checks and the Digital Identity Process.

The free webinars will be virtual and open to anyone with responsibility for DBS processes in their care organisation. They run from 19 June to 19 July.

In this online content you will learn how to deal with disciplinary issues and what to do when an employee raises a grievance. Whether you’re a manager or an individual who is directly affected by these issues this content will guide you through the process.

This Disciplinary & Grievance Procedures Training Course is designed to help managers and employers ensure that their disciplinary procedures are fair, consistent and support everyone in the workplace.

By the end of the training, learners will know best practice for dealing with employee misconduct, how to conduct an appropriate investigation and disciplinary hearing, and understand the different sanctions that employees may be given. Learners will also understand what happens when an employee raises a grievance, appeals a disciplinary outcome or takes the company to an employment tribunal.
