St Michael’s Hospice has shared its 2026/27 programme of community training for health and care professionals, with sessions starting next month.

Topics include:

• Syringe Pump
• Verification of Expected Adult Death (VoEAD)
• Symptom management
• Frailty
• Dementia as a palliative care condition
• Challenging conversations
• Palliative care emergencies
• Bereavement
• Recognising dying

Useful information:

• Most sessions take place at St Michael’s Hospice, with webinars delivered via MS Teams
• ICB-funded training is free to attend, with some other sessions available at a small cost
• Recognising Dying, Syringe Pump and VoEAD sessions are open to Registered Nurses only
