The South East Staff Experience, Engagement, Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) team in NHS England are offering three online sessions on neuroinclusive people management. Please see the sessions listed below:

Session 1: Creating safe spaces and unlocking neurodiverse potential

11th November 2024, 14:00pm – 15:00pm (registration closes 6th November 2024)

‘This session focuses on establishing a workplace environment where neurodivergent employees feel safe and supported, and able to share their neurodivergent identity. Using the Differing Minds 5 Cs framework, we will equip attendees with the tools and strategies to foster positive disclosure and develop success plans for neurodivergent people.’

Session 2: Enabling neurodivergent success through workplace adjustments

18th November 2024, 13:00pm – 14:00pm (registration closes 13th November 2024)
‘This session addresses the practical aspects of supporting neurodivergent employees through general ways of working and workplace adjustments. It covers common traits and differences, and offers tailored strategies for both individual employees and managers. Participants will also learn about tools, equipment, and approaches for collaborative team working and creating inclusive office environments.’

Session 3: Rethinking performance management for neurodiverse talent

21st November 2024, 14:00pm – 15:00pm (registration closes 19th November 2024)
‘In this session, attendees will learn how to conduct performance reviews and manage career progression in a neuroinclusive manner. The focus is on removing neuronormative biases, providing constructive feedback, and creating optimal promotion processes. Additionally, the module covers sensitive approaches to having difficult conversations with neurodivergent team members when necessary.’
