Skills for Care is inviting adult social care employers to take part in a new support programme to help shape and test the Care Workforce Pathway.
The pathway is a national framework that outlines clear career routes in adult social care. It sets out the knowledge, skills, values and behaviours needed to deliver high-quality, personalised care and support.
90 employers will be selected to join as early adopters, with support to explore how the pathway can be used in practice and to provide feedback on what works well and what could be improved. There are three cohorts available, starting in July, September or October 2025.
What’s involved? Participants will join a series of interactive workshops over a three-month period, covering:
An introduction to the Care Workforce Pathway
Identifying workforce challenges and and Pathway governance
Delivering and learning from the programme
Rolling out the Pathway in your organisation
Monitoring and embedding the Pathway
The sessions are practical and collaborative, offering the opportunity to trial the pathway in a real-world setting while helping to shape its future.
